Farnell invests in XP Power’s healthcare and industrial supplies

The PLS600 single output programmable DC power supplies are intended for laboratory, production, and embedded test & measurement. They have a 600W power rating with DC output voltages of 30V, 50V, 100V, 200V or 400 V. The extended range power supplies have embedded 12bit DACs and ADCs and report voltage and current. All power supplies in the series are LXI-certified, and therefore meet interoperability standards for LAN-based instruments.

Another addition is the DRC range of compact, lightweight DIN rail mount power supplies for industrial and commercial applications. The supplies feature AC input range from 85 to 264VAC, outputs from 5V to 48V DC and an operating temperature range from 30°C to +70°C. They also have a DC-on LED, a wide output voltage adjustment range and alternative DC input range. They carry international safety certification and class B emission compliance.

Low cost, low profile AC-DC power supplies make up the FCS family. The 40W and 60W AC-DC power supplies are in a 50mm x 75mm (2-inch x 3-inch) or 50mm x 100mm (2.0-inch x 4.0-inch) footprint. The convection cooled power supplies have a universal input voltage range and an output voltage from 12V to 48V. The FCS40 and FCS60 series are designed to minimise no-load power consumption to meet the latest environmental legislation, says the company. The power supplies also feature two AC line fuses and low leakage currents and are certified to meet medical, ITE and household standards.

Finally, the cost-effective VCE series of supplies is suitable for industrial and domestic markets. The open-frame or encapsulated, PCB mount, single output AC-DC power supplies range between 3W and 40 W outputs and have a wide input voltage range of 85 to 305VAC. Outputs range from 3.3V to 48V and operating temperature range is -25°C to +70°C. They have international safety approvals, including IEC60335-1 for household and similar electrical appliances, and are suitable for IoT applications such as home automation, heating and lighting control, smart metering, set-top box and industrial technology applications.

Farnell says this investment expands its range of power products (including EMC/RFI suppression products) available from stock to almost 5,000 products.
